The ViewSonic ViewPad 10e is the thinnest tablet over 7-inches that ViewSonic will have ever offered.
How does a new 9.7-inch ViewSonic ViewPad 10e tablet with a ViewSonic customized version of Android 2.3 sound to you?
If you’re well versed in Android OS then you probably aren’t too pleased to know that a stock version of Android OS isn’t being used, and you’re probably even more discouraged by the lack of Android 3.x Honeycomb for a 9.7-inch sized tablet –An untouched version of Android is preferred because then you don’t have to rely on ViewSonic for timely Android OS updates; and Android 3.x Honeycomb is the version of Android that features a UI that’s just for tablets.
However the custom interface with it’s 3D-effects for the home screen could be appreciated by some. Different strokes for different folks, as they say.
According to leaked specifications the ViewSonic ViewPad 10e will be a low-end tablet from ViewSonic that offers an IPS display and a 9.1mm thick design (thinnest 7-inch+ tablet ViewSonic has ever made) as luxuries. Thanks to a leaked flier we know that the price of the ViewPad 10e will probably be €249.95 in Europe –I say only probably because ViewSonic isn’t releasing the info themselves.
Here are the specifications that have been exposed today concerning the ViewSonic ViewPad 10e:
